Based at our Corporate Office in Downtown Indianapolis, our Director, Supply Chain Management will be responsible for developing supply chain strategies that reduce costs and improve quality for products assigned. They will need to collaborate with our Operations and Marketing departments to improve product performance, service and operational use. The ideal candidate will help build the knowledge and competencies of the department.
The Supply Chain / Inventory Planner is responsible for maintaining global demand forecasts and evaluating those requirements against supply capacity limitations, facilitating solutions among supply chain partners (purchasing, sales, marketing, manufacturing, R&D, distribution, quality), and providing mid-term production plans and long-term projections to our manufacturing facilities and OEM suppliers that adhere to established inventory policies and maximize service level expectations.
As a member of the FMIC Global Supply Chain team, this individual will work proactively with the Global Supply Chain management team and their supply chain partners to understand the business requirements and to maintain appropriate inventory levels while achieving targeted fill-rate and inventory turns goals. This role will require working with software based forecasting and planning systems.
Provide leadership to Datacard’s Production and Inventory Control organization. Develop and execute global material management strategies to achieve business results relating to Datacard’s planning of materials, parts, supplies, equipment and services.
Provide strategic, tactical and operational direction to support Datacard’s global manufacturing strategy.
Develop and/or re-engineer material management strategies and tactics.
Leverage Datacard use of Oracle through the implementation of global strategies.
Help lead team to optimize use of tools (Oracle, Agile, etc) to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of personnel. Standardize processes at Datacard’s other manufacturing locations and subsidiaries.
Partner with engineering and manufacturing to allow Datacard to offer the best cost/price products in the market while ensuring continuity of supply and meeting asset management objectives.

The Supply Chain Specialist position is responsible for identifying and implementing optimal supply chain decisions for an assigned business unit. Position goals will be achieved by developing an in depth understanding of materials planning, manufacturing, packaging and distribution of key product categories.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive profitability into product teams by optimizing ship units, distribution channel, packaging and freight.
Identify and implement supply chain process improvements through collaboration with strategic supplier partners.
Vendor Performance Management – develop and drive corrective action plans based on root cause analysis for vendors performing below acceptable standards.
Act as the primary purchasing contact for internal customers in order to leverage and centralize T-Mobile’s indirect spend.
· Identify and manage opportunities for process improvements based on current and historical spending patterns.
· Coordinate with business partners to prepare and manage competitive bid proposals. These proposals will vary in complexity and involve multiple commodity types.
· Maintain supplier relationship by coordinating quarterly business reviews as well as process and cost improvement initiatives.
· Proactively drives the development of new procurement strategies to meet future demands
· Process purchase orders for indirect goods and services using SAP software.
· Maintain e-procurement catalog content with SAP EBP tool for strategic suppliers.
· Work closely with the Accounts Payable department to investigate and resolve invoice and payment issues.
$2 billion non-automotive manufacturer seeking a senior buyer with previous experience purchasing electrical components. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering preferred, but will consider candidates with a bachelor’s in supply chain/procurement. 5 years plus experience.
