Requirements include College Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field along with a proven track record of 10+ years of experience in supply chain management administration. To ensure the company's sourcing decisions are measured financially through the SC to ensure they are making profitable decisions and the impact is communicated/coordinated through the transition in the SC.
The Senior Manager, Supply Chain and Logistics is responsible for management of the Global Supply Chain Planning processes for manufactured and purchased items for C&D Technologies and for leading and coordinating all planning and management activities related to the implementation of optimized distribution models for the efficient flow of inventory throughout North America. He / she will serve as the primary liaison between corporate executive management, field operations management and external alliance partners and suppliers to deploy a proactive shipping and freight model.
Basic Function:
Plan and manage the finished goods product supply from third party manufacturer(s). Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations including: FDA, DEA, SOX, etc.
Responsibilities:
· Establish and maintain excellent working relationship with third party manufacturer(s).
· Mange API DEA quota with third party manufacturer(s).
· Source and manage API inventory at third party manufacturer(s).
· Assure product supply to meet new product launch requirements and ongoing supply.
· Monitor supplier performance to contractual obligations and assure compliance.
· Active participant in the SI & OP process.
· Participate in projects as required to support the supply chain function.
Develop and execute risk/opportunity plans to meet RPM/Customer/Supplier objectives.
· Work closely with Producibility Engineering, Quality and Planning to create common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP), Lead Times and Supplier Capacity.
· Collaborate with other supply chain functions and programs for support as needed.
· Monitor performance metrics and proactively acts to address program and supplier issues.
· Provide Timely status updates, of projected delivery/completion of orders.
· Must demonstrate mastery of scheduling, MS Project, Primavera
· Maintain action item status and minutes from Internal and external meetings.
· Prepare presentation material for internal and supplier reviews.
· Assesses supplier/program issues and works with Integrated Team to develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality and internal and external customer satisfaction goals and objectives.
The Supply Chain & Logistics Management team supervises and trains employees, coordinates in and out-bound shipments of product, analyzes least cost distribution methods and manages third party carriers to meet customer needs and assure that all products arrive safely and on time. Occasionally special projects come into play, such as tracking costs and implementing cost saving initiatives.
The External Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for driving long-term strategic initiatives with our top 5 key retail customers. In this role they will be responsible for developing a strategic Supply Chain partnership and Business Plan with each customer. Specific initiatives include the implementation of Vendor Managed Inventory, “Receive Fresh” Receiving Program, Customer Scorecards, EDI and PECO Pallets.
